This is Laura’s own home where she explores her love of traditional interiors with contemporary and fresh colour palettes and furnishings suitable for her large family and dog. Laura designed every inch, including the kitchen extension, where she was keen to preserve the grandeur and beauty of the original space including the stained glass windows and cornicing.

Laura’s love for patterned fabrics and trimmings is evident throughout her home. The ground floor is painted in warm neutrals, varying from a deep clay colour in the reception rooms to a lighter stone in the kitchen complementing the aquamarine of the units. Laura worked with her joiner to create a bespoke kitchen including her scalloped bench seat to provide a soft seating area with storage beneath.

Wallpaper is used with great effect throughout her home, including a favourite strawberry design in the WC and in her daughter’s room where a wedgewood blue William Morris paper is complimented by bespoke painted joinery and a fairytale canopy.

Bathrooms use warm unlacquered brass fixtures and are traditional but playful using shaded wall lights, art deco details and glazed tiles to create warm and inviting spaces to linger.

The loft room has its own bespoke upholstered daybed to create a very ‘non loft’ like space wrapped in dusky pink walls and pretty details. Lighting is key in creating the atmosphere in Laura’s home. It is carefully layered with her love for unusual ceramic lamps and pretty shades in every room. Over the years, Laura has collected antique pieces and artwork to ensure her home is always evolving and feels fresh as her family and business grows.
