This charming family home in a beautiful corner of London has been transformed into a warm and inviting space, filled with character and natural light. A much-loved home with incredible lateral space, the interiors needed a refresh after our client’s children grew up and moved out. The key focus on the brief was an “injection of warmth.”

Over the years, the client had curated a beautiful collection of furniture, artwork, and decorative pieces, but the spaces lacked cohesion. Our goal was to create harmonious interiors that seamlessly incorporated her existing pieces while introducing a more structured design.

A crucial part of the transformation involved replacing the cool greys that dominated the home. Instead, we introduced a warm cinnamon-hued base, layering in rich colors through window treatments, upholstery, and soft furnishings to bring depth and personality.

In the bedrooms and bathrooms, we embraced bolder palettes, softened with tonal accents to maintain a sense of comfort and character. The kitchen, featuring a lovely Plain English design, was updated with fresh paint colors, new handles, and a bespoke Balenium tile splashback—creating a beautiful focal point in the open-plan space.

Lighting played a key role in shaping the ambiance. An Ochre pendant defined the island area, while a combination of wall lights and table lamps allowed for flexible mood-setting throughout the home.

The master bedroom and ensuite, nestled in the loft, had panelled sides and sloped ceilings, presenting a design challenge. Rather than disguising the room’s unique architecture, we celebrated it—mirroring the shaped headboard to the pitch of the ceiling to created a visual feature that made the room come alive.

For this space, the brief was clear: cosy, layered, and colourful. We achieved this through a thoughtful mix of layered patterns, antique pieces, and bespoke furnishings, resulting in a home that feels both inviting and uniquely personal.
